Today in China, Sivakarthikeyan's film opens in 10700 theatres to critical acclaim.

Sivakarthikeyan has earned a name for himself as a producer of quality films, in addition to being one of Kollywood's most bankable performers. His 2018 film 'Kanaa,' directed by Arunraja Kamaraj and starring Aishwarya Rajesh, was not only a box office success but also received critical acclaim.

 

 In 'Kanaa,' Aishwarya Rai plays Koushi, a poor girl who desires to be a cricketer and succeeds with the help of Nelson Dilipkumar, a former player turned coach, played by Sivakarthikeyan. The screenplay also prioritised conveying the anguish of farmers who have been touched by the changing times.

 

 

'Kanaa' was snatched up by Chinese distributors, who released movie today in a massive 10700 screens in the neighbouring country after dubbing it. The film has received unequivocal praise from Chinese critics, and industry insiders predict that it will be a massive smash similar to Aamir Khan's 'Dangal.'
