Laila's cheerful roles opposite Ajith in 'Dheena,' Suriya in
'Pitha Magan,' Vikram in 'Dhill,' and Prashanth in 'Paarthen Rasithen,' among
others, have left an indelible impression on Tamil audiences.
Laila, who married Mehdin, an Iranian businessman, in 2006,
took a break from acting to raise her two sons. She is back in Tamil films
after 16 years, having signed Karthi's 'Sardar,' in which she plays a pivotal
part.
Laila has uploaded a video of herself shaking a leg with her
'Parthen Rasithen' co-star Prashanth for their song from the film. The picture,
which was released 22 years ago in 2000, was a big success for the team.
Meanwhile, Priya Anand, Simran, Yogi Babu, Vanitha
Vijayakumar, Samuthirakani, and Navarasa Nayagan Karthik appear in Prashanth's
upcoming film, 'Andhagan,' directed by Thiagarajan.
