Despite conflicting reviews, Ajith's most recent film, 'Valimai,' directed by H. Vinoth and costarring Huma Qureshi and Karthikeya, was well received by viewers. Apart from a record-breaking watching on Zee 5 OTT, producer Boney Kapoor officially stated that the film has grossed over Rs 200 crores worldwide.

The filming of his next film, 'AK 61,' is slated to begin soon in Hyderabad, with the majority of the crew already assembled at the Ramoji Rao Film City. The mass hero, who recently underwent rejuvenation in Kerala, has lost a few pounds in preparation for the role and will begin shooting a few days after the film begins.

The film is claimed to be based on a bank heist and will be stylish, similar to the 'Ocean's Eleven' flicks, with realistic action and elegant presentation. According to sources, Ajith will play a professor and Kavin will portray one of his students.

Ajith's appearance in 'AK 61' has already gone viral, with his full grey hair and beard, spectacles, and a stud in one of his ears. His expression confirms the rumour that he is portraying a professor. The figure is thought to be a good balance of class and mass, and that he will have a big impression on the audience.

There are other rumours that he is playing dual parts as villain and hero, as well as one that claims he is the villain while Mohan Lal and Nagarjuna are the heroes. However, as is customary, we must await official confirmations.
