A close relative of Anushka Shetty makes shocking allegations.

For the better part of a decade and a half, Anushka Shetty has ruled the South Indian film industry. Her most recent film, 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion,' in which she played the powerful character of Devasena, is the highest-grossing Indian film ever.

 

The 40-year-old actress is close with her parents, Prafulla and A. N. Vittal Shetty, as well as her two older brothers, Gunaranjan Shetty and Sai Ramesh Shetty. The eldest sibling is a member of the Jayakarnataka Janapara Vedike, a political party in the state of Karnataka.

 

Gunarajanjan Shetty and members of his party have petitioned Karnataka's Home Minister for protection and action against two men, Manvit Rai and Rakesh Malli. According to the report, the pair, who were once close friends of Shetty's, have become enemies and have threatened to kill him. Rai, who is currently abroad, has denied the allegations, while Malli has been interrogated by the police, and more information will be released soon.

 

Anushka, who has taken a self-imposed film hiatus, is set to return with a new Telugu film costarring Naveen Polishetty and is also in talks to play the heroine opposite Raghava Lawrence in P. Vasu's 'Chandramukhi 2'.
