Simbu is in the prime of his career, with 'Maanadu' becoming the first film in his oeuvre to reach the 100c mark. We talked about the rumours that his upcoming film 'Corona Kumar' has been put on hold yesterday. The rumours have been debunked, and the situation has been clarified, according to an official source.
According to a recent anonymous report on the internet,
Simbu has postponed all of his film commitments until his father, T Rajendar,
who is undergoing treatment for an illness, recovers. Simbu has also opted out
of 'Corona Kumar' and is in talks with director Lingusamy for a new film,
according to the report.
The film's former producer has now clarified the anonymous
report, according to the latest news. Before Ishari Ganesh's Vels Films
International took over the project, K Sathish was the producer who started
'Corona Kumar' under his banner Cinewaala Productions. "#CoronaKumar can
never be dropped DOT," he tweeted in response to a fan's question about
the report.
Gokul is set to direct 'Corona Kumar,' which is said to be a
spin-off of the director's debut film, 'Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara.'
Vijay Stehupathi is expected to make a cameo appearance in this upcoming film.
Meanwhile, there may be discussions underway with Simbu and Lingusamy about a
new venture called 'STR50.'
